My name is Michael Mulligan and I am a fully qualified, professional teacher and tutor with 25 years experience of successful tutoring and full-time secondary teaching.
After graduating from the Universities of Essex (B,Sc.,), Sheffield (M.Sc., PGCE) a fully qualified teacher, I started teaching in two very reputable secondary schools in the London Borough of Hounslow. First as a teacher of Maths, Physics and Technology for 7 years and then as Head of Physics for 15 years. It was a great experience, teaching young people across the full ability range from age 11 to 18 and adults too.
In 2004 I took early retirement from the classroom situation, leaving me free me to devote my time to doing what I love best - teaching, by way of offering private tuition to students who wanted to work hard to improve their grades.
At first, I travelled to each student's home and provided tuition there, or they would come to me. Since 2014 I have used the internet to offer online lessons in Maths and Physics of the same quality as face-to-face, sometimes better.
Over the years I have helped young people from many parts of the UK and USA, Australia, Europe and China. I am able to share my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for Maths and Physics with students all over the world - exciting stuff and great fun !
Today I offer top quality tuition tailored to meet the needs of the individual student, whether it be help with homework, coursework guidance, specific topics, exam technique, past exam papers - setting, marking and feedback. It's all in the deal , as needed by the student !
Tuition is personalised on a 1 to 1 (or small group) basis, ONLINE (UK, Ireland and worldwide).
How does it work ?
If you would like some tuition we would start with a preliminary meeting on Zoom (30 minutes, without obligation) for you to learn more about me and for me to learn more about the tuition you are looking for. We would then arrange for our first lesson and make progress from there.
